La Cosecha Pastor
Richard Lang was born in Blackville, S.C., and grew up in the Summerville, S.C. area. He comes from a family of ministers that included his father and three brothers who were pastors.
After completing his military obligation, including a tour in Vietnam, he returned home and married his wife Joan. Together, they have two children, Brian (Lisa) and Lori (Steven), who have blessed them with 4 wonderful grandchildren.
Pastor Richard’s advanced studies include Palmer College, The Baptist College of Charleston, and Kingsbury Bible College. His years of ministry include several Associate Pastor positions and over 29 years as a lead pastor in Illinois.
He and his wife returned to SC in 2009, serving for several years as a mentor to young pastors. They began attending the Harvest Church in 2012 and became part of the Harvest Staff in 2014. Pastor Richard presently serves Pastor of La Cosecha, the Hispanic Ministry here at Harvest.
In his free time, Pastor Richard enjoys traveling with his wife, reading, and playing golf.
