Pastor Shilo Mathis

Student Pastor

Pastor Shilo Mathis was born in Charleston, South Carolina, lived in Colorado for ten years, and now calls Columbia home. Her relationship with Christ began when she was 17 years old after an encounter with Christ at church camp that left her changed forever. That week, Shilo accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and felt a deep desire to tell as many people as possible about how Jesus changed her life and how He could change theirs, too!

After high school, Shilo attended Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, before completing her Bachelor's degree in Bible and Youth Ministry at Columbia International University in 2017. Upon graduating, she moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida, to serve as Youth Pastor. After two years, she moved to Sumter, South Carolina, where she served as the Associate Pastor at Venture Church.

Shilo is thrilled to now serve at Harvest Church and come alongside families and students. Her passion is to facilitate an environment for students to grow in God's deep love for them and discover their unique design and purpose for life.

Shilo married her husband, Chris, in November 2021. They are the proud pet parents of dog Phoebe and tortoise Carrot. When she is not at church, Shilo loves spending as much time as possible outside – hiking, backpacking, camping, fishing, kayaking, etc. Fun fact: Shilo and husband, Chris, have completed 1,000 miles of the Appalachian Trail! She also said it’s important to note that her favorite ice cream flavor is Moose Tracks, and her favorite movie is The Karate Kid, the original, obviously.
